Traditional Kerala Panchakarma Centre

Ashwini Ayurvedic Hospital and Research Centre is the first hospital of its kind established in Mumbai with in-patient facilities for providing traditional Ayurvedic treatments popularly known as Panchakarma, entirely based on Kerala Ayurvedic tradition.

It is the first registered private sector Ayurvedic hospital in Mumbai for Panchakarma, owned and run by a qualified doctor. The hospital was established on 21st May 2001 and is a registered hospital where major insurance companies and Third Party Administrators (TPA) accept its documents for medical-claim reimbursement.

The hospital, named after the “Ashwini Kumaras”, (the divine twins and the heavenly healers) - the twin gods of Ayurveda, is the dream project of Dr. Sheeba Raveendran who is committed to providing genuine medicines and authentic treatments to each of her patients consistently. Treatments are based on pure Ayurvedic medicines derived from medicinal plants, which carry the healing and nourishing essence of nature and do not cause any side effects.

In recognition of the outstanding services rendered to the society, the hospital has been selected for the coveted National Achiever's Award For Health Excellence 2009, instituted by the National Achiever’s Foundation, New Delhi. Mumbai International Airports Ltd has registered the hospital in their panel, which is regarded as a significant achievement.

Housed in a 2500 Sqft independent apartment, free from pollution and noise of the city, coupled with the privacy and comforts of home, the hospital presents a refreshing atmosphere to the body and spirit of every patient.

It has a well-organized in-patient/out-patient facility and separate wards and staff for male/female patients. Certified professional male/female therapists, immensely experienced in Panchakarma treatments add a touch of excellence to our service. Inpatients in the hospital are served with a well-balanced diet as per the regimen prescribed in Ayurvedic Texts.

The hospital offers traditional Ayurvedic treatments popularly known as Panchakarma Therapy. The massage therapies performed in the hospital help alleviate stress and toxins from the body and strengthen the mind and spirit of the patients. The deeper penetration of special medicines nourishes the body and rejuvenates the nervous system, helps arrest the aging process, enhances immunity, improves complexion and relieves mental stress.

These therapies also help in the restoration of tissues, improving digestion, multiplying natural beauty and promoting positive health. The herbal application helps arrest laxity of muscles, sustaining youthfulness, relieving insomnia, exertions, etc…
