Nilayoram Resorts is an oasis of serenity, located 34 kilometers north of the cultural capital Thrissur and 4 kilometers away from Kerala Kalamandalam, Cheruthuruthy. Nilayoram is set on a two-acre site, right at the bank of the heritage enriched Bharathapuzha, with vast expanses of lustrous greenery in sylvan surroundings.

Nilayoram is unique and carries a distinctive concept in resort culture. The environment is natural and totally pollution free, it acts as a supplementary tonic and enhancer to the health care programmes that are offered by the resort to its clients. Long stretches of sandy river banks is a treat to the exploring traveler and give an opportunity to see and learn the cultural heritage and the lifestyle of the local people who have settled down along the banks.

Nilayoram's specialized designers have worked together to deliver a masterpiece of compelling simplicity in architecture coupled with sophistication in finishing and furnishing. The buildings carry an aesthetic look with a great deal of privacy and traditional charm while all the octagonal rooms provide a better view of Bharathapuzha and the lush, verdant surroundings. All the rooms are air-conditioned.

The bathrooms are fitted with top class accessories and equipment to maintain high hygienic conditions. Separately, a treatment facility is provided for healthcare programmes like Ayurveda to keep the resort building exclusively for a living.

Elegantly furnished bedrooms with airconditioning ensure the best in comfort and accommodation. An indoor auditorium, in the center of the resort building, gives easy access for a guest to watch cultural art forms performed by Kerala Kalamandalam artistes. The auditorium is also used for yoga sessions and meditation classes. It opens to the vast garden area and gives a fantastic view of the stream that flows along the resort boundary. Being simply in the auditorium itself is a nice experience and relaxing.

Nilayoram's multicuisine restaurant serves continental and typical Kerala style food in a very hygienic environment. The dining area, set on a vast split level balcony, overlooks the garden and Bharathapuzha on one side and the indoor auditorium to the other allowing the guest to enjoy their food both from the culinary and cultural aspects. This area also receives a swift flow of breeze around the year and indeed that makes the place more enjoyable. Since the seating arrangement is limited to 8 persons only, the guest feels the place very private and attentive.

Yoga and meditation form essential components of Ayurvedic treatments along with the therapy. On arrival, to the resort a team of eminent Ayurveda physicians from KAS, an 85-year-old Ayurveda Institute, will examine the patient/guest and after the panel discussion, appropriate Ayurvedic treatment will be charted. The entire treatment will be supervised by senior doctors and therapies are performed by qualified and experienced masseurs. All Ayurvedic herbs used are prepared by the traditional way and hence unequivocal quality and result are guaranteed. Wholesome vegetarian food will be provided during the treatment period.
