Triveni Nursing Home
Triveni Nursing Home needs no introduction among the Ayurvedic fraternity. It has created a benchmark name in hospital industry. It started functioning as an out-patient clinic under Dr. K. A. Chandrasekharan Nair, at Kaithamukku in 1978. Dr. Nair retired as the Senior Lecturer and specialist in Marma Department, Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram, after servicing for 28 years.
In order to provide a better treatment under the control of qualified staff, an inpatient unit was started at Kaithamukku in 1982.This was initially a seven bed hospital. His first team had three doctors and five paramedical technicians.
Now this has grown in to a fifty bedded hospital. 14 doctors and 41 paramedical technicians work here round the clock. Modern facilities like X-ray units, clinical laboratory, etc were added.
Triveni Nursing Home now has a full fledged physiotherapy centre, serviced by qualified physiotherapists.
On 2000 march 24th Dr. Chandrasekharan Nair left for this heavenly abode. He was left behind a group of young dedicated doctors including his son Dr. Suresh Kumar, who heads the team now.
Dr. Suresh Kumar, who graduated from Ayurveda College Coimbatore in the year 1986, completed post graduate studies in Salya tantra in the year 1990 from Government Ayurvedic College,Trivandrum. Phd was awarded in Marma Chikitsa from Sri Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady under guidance of Dr. K. Rajagopalan, DAM. MBBS. He was presented about 36 papers in various journals. His services are available at the nursing home on all days from 8 A.M to 1 P.M and 4 P.M to 7.30 P.M.
Dr. G.S. Raju, retired professor in Salyathantra from Ayurveda College, Kottakkal also works here. His service will be available from 9 AM to 12 noon on all days except Sundays.
