Sitting on one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Kerala hills and valleys, this Ayurveda Centre enfolds itself in the rooms and nooks of a residence built for a Royal family almost a century ago.
The owner, Mrs Saroja Thampi who was the young bride of the grandson of the Raja, decided to renovate and convert the Palace to an ayurvedic retreat after being miraculously cured from a kidney failure. She then chose to share with the world her enchanting home to lend other’s its beauty, tranquility and harmony, key elements for a deeply healing process.
In 2005 the Centre was rewarded by the Government of Kerala with the prestigious GREEN LEAF AWARD for best Ayurveda.
The staff and team of doctors are highly qualified and experienced. Specialized on back pain, arthritis, neurological problems, insomnia and obesity. They also offer special beauty and detoxification programs. On site 24 hours a day.
A vast assortment of various dishes and an ayurvedic diet based on fresh and organic vegetables, spices and herbs is offered during the treatment periods.
Yoga classes are an important part of the therapy programs and practice schedules are personalized according to fitness and doctor’s recommendations.
All rooms are spacious and comfortable with private bathrooms.
Yoga, cooking and massage courses are offered in low season on request.
