Enjoy our homegrown produce, freshly cooked, as you sample gourmet traditional Keralan food, joining professional chefs in our state-of-the-art kitchen in an informal learn-to-cook session.

Ours is a working farm, run on organic and ecologic principles, where you will not only be welcomed by the warmest of Keralan families but will also be able to help the local community and the planet. Our water is heated with solar power, vegetables grown with home-made compost, chickens and goats fed on vegetable waste, and methane from our cows' manure is recovered to provide gas for cooking.

Dewalokam is the ancestral farm of Alilakuzhy family, an ancient Syrian Christian family of Kerala. We always want our guests to feel relaxed and happy. Our family will be delighted to show you the organic farm and tell you about the unusual trees and plants, many of which have medicinal uses.

The word Dewalokam may be translated into “paradise”. Our concept is to retain the world as it was created by God, full of fruits and vegetables, milk and honey all produced organically without pesticides or chemical fertilizers.

We are passionate about food and traditional Keralan cooking, our professional chefs will lovingly prepare three meals for you every day, which is included in the price of your stay. If you have particular food requirements the chefs will be pleased to accommodate them.

The area is tucked away beyond commercial rubber plantations in a secluded haven. Bounded by a tranquil river and nature reserve, you can choose to be as active or as relaxed as you wish, away from the bustle of tourist India.

Dewalokam is in the Midlands (spice belt) of Kerala, the center of spices for thousands of years. The farm has a rich collection of all spices like pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger, turmeric and so on.

This farm is not a tourist center at all. Jose and Sinta, farmers by tradition and teachers by profession, started taking in guests to stay with them, because of their elder brother Fr. Paul Alilakuzhy visited the family farm with his friends in Germany. Soon, friends and family encouraged them to open the farm for paying guests.

We offer authentic Ayurveda packages offered by one of the oldest Ayurveda Hospitals in Kerala, the Dhanwanthary Vaidya sala established in nineteen thirty-three. All the Ayurveda treatments offered at Dewalokam is by Dhanwanthari.
All the treatments are decided by the Doctors from Dhanwanthari Vaidyasala after proper check-up and discussion with the Guests.
