We offer both out-patient and in-patient consultations and treatments and are at the center of our modern ayurvedic movement for natural healing by attaining the harmony of the higher self (atmav), mind (manas), the vital energy of the universe (prana), the senses and the body.

The Thekkayil family is one of the oldest families of the Malabar region pursuing the ayurvedic tradition of more than 500 years. The Thekkayil family has produced many brilliant ayurvedic physicians, leaving an ever-lasting footmark in the field of Ayurveda.

The present Sree Subramania Ayurvedic Nursing home in Calicut was founded in 1974 by Thekkayil Rajaratnam Vydiar who, in 2009, was honored by the Corporation of Calicut with the award of Bhishak Ratna for his eminence in ayurvedic medical practice. Many patients who have had unsuccessful treatment by physicians who do not practice Ayurveda have been cured by this great physician and brought back to a normal life.

This family tradition is continuing to flourish, and thanks to the encouragement and blessings of his father, Dr. Sanand Ratnam Thekkayil the latest member of this famous family to take up Ayurveda, is now an ayurvedic doctor in his own right.

We have a traditional built infrastructure with suite rooms with AC facility, 15 ordinary rooms, and male and female general ward. Our Ayurvedic treatment and massage center is handled by qualified and experienced doctors and personnel which are an added attraction of the nursing home.

The treatment program for each individual is drawn out by the ayurvedic physician after a thorough evaluation. Get to know more of this majestic, mysterious land.
